Botánica Corner: Florida Water

Today I have picked a near and dear product we have for sale up at Fenix House and it is Murray & Lanman Florida Water. This product has been around for over 100 years... Now, like my boss says, to be around that long, your product has to be good!

Here are some of its many beauty uses:

• Astringent and skin lotion
• Complexion care
•  Soften coarse hair before shaving
• After shave
• Relaxing muscle rub
• Calming scalp
• Relief for insect bites

Some of its magical uses are:

•  Aid in cleansing 
• Aid in protection work 
• Ancestor work
• Spiritual work
• Divination

Some people claim to "love the strong and purifying feeling they get from wearing it".

I can honestly say that I LOVE this stuff! I put some of it on the back of my neck upon coming home from work, put it on my bath water along with my weekly limpia, my mother uses it as an after shave for her legs and underarms and loves it! The aroma is wonderful yet soft enough for our allergies.

It is also a powerful aid in cleansing: I add it to my floor wash and I cleanse my house with it by pouring down a circle of it and burning it.

I also got wonderful results when I poured some of it in the bowl where I drop my camphor block to cleanse and purify my home. I have even used it as a foot soak and it's worked wonders!

And last but not least, it is wonderful as a room spray! I like putting it inside a spray bottle ad dropping a citrine stone inside that bottle... Voila! Got a wonderful tool that is both cleansing and yummy smelling! I <3 when you can get a product to do two things for you, so you can imagine how thrilled I was when I found out about Florida water!
